What is a Flexible working request acknowledgement letter?
There is no set procedure for employers to follow when dealing with statutory requests for flexible working, but they must deal with such requests in a reasonable manner.
The employer must notify the employee of its decision within two months of the request, or a longer period if agreed with the employee.

Within 14 days of the meeting, the employer must inform the employee of their decision in writing. If the employer needs more time to consider the request, they must inform the employee in writing and provide a new decision date, which must be within two months of the original request.
